Expert: energy transition to renewables in Germany unrealistic

For Robert Schlögl, director of Fritz-Haber-Institut and Max-Planck-Institut for energy conversion, the shut down of conventional power plants and replacement by wind and solar won't work as renewable energies are subject to fluctuations. Also battery technology for storage has physical limits.
